Welcome the home of the COSMIC Project

The purpose of the COSMIC ( Complementary Open Software for Manipulation of Imagery for Communities ) project is to identify, develop, test, refine, and demonstrate synergies between commercial software and open source software tools.

Particular emphasis will be on using Python “glue” to tie together commercial and open source software to aid in the translation of algorithms, described theoretically in journal articles, into working software for remote sensing practitioners.
